Character

You must create an entry inside textuisystem.txt with a custom code name.

1 VPLUS_CUSTOM_MESSAGE_HELLO_WORLD Hello World Hello World Hello World Hello World Hello World Hello World Hello World Hello World

A good understanding of color values is also recommended.

Stored Procedure: _Char_SendNotification

Parameters:

  • @CharID INT - Target character ID
  • @CodeName VARCHAR(255) - Code name defined in textuisystem.txt
  • @AlertType TINYINT - Top notification color
    • 0 = None
    • 1 = Pink
    • 2 = Green
    • 3 = Blue
    • 4 = Indigo

  • @ChatboxType TINYINT - Chatbox behavior

  • @SystemBox BIT - Show in the bottom-right system box (1 = Yes)
  • @Color INT - Custom color (NULL for default)

Let us test the command by sending a custom notification to a specific character.

USE [vPlus]
GO
DECLARE @CharID INT = (SELECT CharID FROM _OnlinePlayers WHERE CharName16 = 'character_name')
EXEC _Char_SendNotification @CharID, 'VPLUS_CUSTOM_MESSAGE_HELLO_WORLD', 1, 0, 1;

For real usage, use @CharID directly from your calling procedure.

EXEC _Char_SendNotification @CharID, 'VPLUS_CUSTOM_MESSAGE_HELLO_WORLD', 1, 0, 1;
